Share Sworms with a peer

Connect both computers to the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. Keep Sworms running here while your peer installs it.

Your peer needs Python 3.10 or newer. Send them one of these commands; your LAN address and port are filled in automatically.

If there are multiple addresses, use the one on the network shared with your peer.

After installing, they start it with:

Then visit sworm.party or the localhost website printed at startup. Sworms can also be downloaded from sworm.party with its signed manifest.

No sudo, password sharing, pip, or internet connection needed. Use a trusted peer for the first installation.

Invites & requests

Joining and DMs need your acceptance. Leaving or removing a DM requires a fresh invitation to reconnect.

Each item expires from the time it was sent. Expired attachments are removed from Sworms’ cache and are no longer shared. Deleting a message also expires its attachment.
